I currently serve as a Data Analyst at Colombia's Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology, and Environmental Studies, a role I've embraced for over two years. In my capacity within the Office of Forecast and Alert Services, I'm entrusted with managing a plethora of hydro-meteorological data gathered from a comprehensive network of weather stations across various regions.

The data I handle is not just numerical figures on a screen; it serves as a backbone for understanding natural phenomena. By synthesizing this data, I create tabular outputs, graphical visualizations, and specialized mapping products.

These deliverables are critical for real-time decision-making, helping authorities issue timely alerts for landslides, vegetation fires, and other hydrological hazards. They are also instrumental in providing accurate weather forecasts, which are invaluable for agricultural planning, among other applications.

Technology plays a significant part in my work. I've developed multiple interactive dashboards utilizing Dash, enabling dynamic visualization of hydro-meteorological data. I've also configured geographic databases using Postgresql and Postgis, enhancing our capacity for spatial analysis and querying. These tech skills ensure that we are not just collecting data, but also making it accessible and actionable.
